About This Competition

 

After the sell-out success of last years Hells Bells Mixed Pairs CF Comp, WE ARE BACK FOR 2026!!!

Grab a partner & come & have some fun in our Male/Female Pairs CrossFit/functional fitness competition based on the beautiful Surf Coast in VIC.

We will have 4 divisions over the weekend:

Rx - Only limited spots available & standards requirements will need to be met. This will be challenging but still fun!

Intermediate - incorporating Open movement standards.

Everyday - Open scaled standards.

Masters 40+ - think Intermediate with some modifications.

$280 per team until sold out. 

No refunds on entries. Substitutions up to 5pm Thursday 2/1/2026.

What to bring:

Standard workout gear for around 8-11 workouts.
Swimming gear - you are going to get wet!
Sunscreen :-)

Workouts

WOD #6a - "Dawn Patrol Part 1" - for time - 10 min time cap

Partner 1 completes a 200m run into rescue paddleboard around the buoys, comes back to shore and tags partner #2 at the start line.

Partner #2 then completes a 200m run into a swim around the buoys, comes back to shore and crosses the start line.

Time is taken when Partner 2 crosses the start line.

WOD #6b - "Dawn Patrol Part 2" - for time - 10 min time cap

Straight after WOD #6a, still part of the 10 min time cap.

As soon as partner #2 completes a 200m run into a swim around the buoys, WOD 6b starts.

  • 600m run around the Torquay Main Beach fences for time

Time is taken when both partners cross the finish line.

WOD #5 - "Goofy Footer" - for time, 5 min time cap time cap.

Sandbag bear hug carry / 5 sandbag over shoulder/ sandbag bear hug carry.

Partner 1 bear hug carries sandbag from start mat through the cones to the end mat, completes 5 sandbag over shoulders, then bear hug carries back to start mat.

Once partner 1's bag in fully on the start mat, partner 2 then bear hug carries sandbag from start mat through the cones to the end mat, completes 5 sandbag over shoulders, then bear hug carries back to start mat.

Time stops when partner 2's sandbag is full on the start mat.

  • Everyday 50/35kg
  • Masters 40+/Intermediate - 60/40kg
  • Rx - 70/50kg

WOD #7 - "Going Over The Falls" - for time - 4 minute time cap.

You go, I go format.

  • 2-3-4-5 BB OH squats
  • 2-3-4-5 BB front squats
  • 2-3-4-5 BB thrusters
  • 7m single KB walking lunges buy out.

 

  • Everyday - 30/20kg BB, 16/12kg KB in goblet
  • Masters 40+ - 40/25kg BB, 16/12kg KB in goblet
  • Intermediate - 42.5/30kg BB, 24/16kg KB in goblet
  • Rx - 50/35kg BB, 24/16kg KB in OH

 

WOD #8 - "Bells Castro" - 14 Minute AMRAP - share reps

WOD #9 - "Reel Me In" - for time - individual floater WOD

For time:

  • Sled push 10m
  • Reel in sled 10m
  • Time is talken when the sled is reeled past the start line.

  • Intermediate - 60/40kg on sled
  • Rx - 70/50kg on sled

 

WOD #1a - “Wipeout Part 1” - 6 min time cap 🏄‍♀️

2 rounds for time:
16 synchronised alternating DB hang snatches
5 synchronised shuttle runs (8m+8m=1)
16 synchronised toes to bar

Everyday - hanging knee raises, 15/10kg DB💪
Intermediate/Masters 40+ - 22.5/15kg DB💪
RX - 20 DB snatches, 20 T2B, 22.5/15kg DB 💪

WOD #1b - “Wipeout Part 2” - 6 min AMRAP 🏄
Starting straight after you finish 1a:

* Max wall walks
- one partner works at a time.

Everyday/Intermediate/Masters 40+ - wall walks💪
RX - Handstand walk metres (1m=1 rep)💪

WOD #2 - “Barrelled” - 3 x 2 min AMRAP’s each 🏄‍♀️

Every 2 min x 3 each
Alternate partner rounds

7 burpee box jump overs

WOD #4 - Kegs for Kilos 2.0 - 40 seconds work : 10 seconds transition

BB clean ladder for max load. Score will be combined load for both partners. Yes, you can power/squat/muscle clean 😉

Everyday & Masters 40+ - 40/27.5kg, 50/35kg, 60/42.5kg, 70/50kg, 80/55kg, 90/62.5kg, 100/70kg, 110/77.5kg💪
Intermediate - 50/35kg, 60/42.5kg, 70/50kg, 80/55kg, 90/62.5kg, 100/70kg, 110/77.5kg, 120/85kg💪
RX - 60/42.5kg, 70/50kg, 80/55kg, 90/62.5kg, 100/70kg, 110/77.5kg, 120/85kg, 130/90kg 💪

Load is calculated by multiplying the weight on the bar x reps.
Eg. If a male athlete does 10 reps at 30kg, 10 reps at 40kg, 5 reps at 50kg, but fails to lift a rep at 60kg …. Score is:
10x30=300kg
10x40=400kg
5x50=250kg
Total =950kg load
