Swolemate Showdown hosted by Outlier CrossFit is back! The Swolemate Showdown is one of San Diego’s biggest and longest running fitness competitions.
Last year we welcomed over 100 athletes to the competition floor and great vendors to our Vendor Village! We strive to provide a competitive yet fun environment with throwback vibes to OG affiliate throwdowns which means fun for athletes and spectators alike! Registration is open now!
All workouts will be released in the coming weeks, prior to the competition, so you can see what you are up against. Be sure to follow @swolemate.showdown and @outliercrossfit to see all the info.

Time Cap: 6 Minutes
-Athlete 1 will complete the work, then Athlete 2. Score will be total time completed.
-Sandbag cleans must show full control at the top of each rep.
RX Sandbags: 150/100
Intermediate Sandbags: 100/85

50 Single Dumbbell Shoulder to Overhead (70/50) (50/35)
25 Dumbbell Box Step Ups 20" (70/50) (50/35)

In Remaining Time:
Max Reps Single DB Squat Snatch (70/50) (50/35)
*Score is reps of DB snatches or work completed at 13 minutes.
-Reps can be split any way between athletes.
-Rx weights: (70/50) DB, Barbell (155/105)
-INT weights: (50/35) DB, Barbell (135/95)
- DB power snatch into an overhead squat is accepted.
-All athletes will step up to a 20" box with a single DB.
-All male athletes will burpee box jump to a 24" box.

10 Synchro Barbell Overhead Squats (135/95)
R1: 40 Pull Ups, R2: 30 C2B R3: 20 BMU
Time Cap: 12 min
Intermediate:
3 Rounds For Time:
40/35/30 Cal Echo Bike (MM/MF/FF)
10 Synchro Barbell Overhead Squats (95/65)
R1: 30 Pull-Ups, R2: 20 C2B, R3: 10 Burpee Pull-Ups Time Cap: 12 min
-Athletes may split the reps on the echo bike and gymnastics movements.
Overhead squats must be synchronized at the top of each rep.
- Athletes may choose to squat snatch the first overhead squat or power snatch and then descend into their first rep.
Part A: 8:00 for Max Load:
Clean & Jerk
-Rest 3:00-
Part B: 3:00 for 1 Max Unbroken Set @ 70% of Part A, per athlete.
-Squat clean is required for part A & B. This can be a squat clean or a power clean into a squat.
-Both athletes will lift in the same time window for both parts.
In part B, athletes cannot rest the barbell in the back rack between reps.
Each athlete gets one attempt only at a max set.
*Minimum weight requirements for Part B:
Rx: 165/115
Intermediate: 125/85
*If your 70% is less than the above numbers, you will be required to use those numbers for part B.
