About This Competition

In February of 2024, CrossFit Revamped launched the inagual year of The Ladder Lifting Challenge. The event was far greater than we could have hoped and put athletes hard work and community on display. We can't wait to bring it back for it's third year!

The Ladder Challenge is a 2-person team (MM or FF) lifting challenge for max load. MM and FF pairs will work through a snatch and clean and jerk ladder in hopes of making it to the center platform or achieving a new PR. Once at the center platform, teams will have an opportunity to lift the heaviest barbells in their respective division under the spotlight.

The Ladder Challenge is a three-scored event. Teams of 2 will be scored for total load in the snatch, total load in the clean and jerk, and total overall load in both the snatch and clean and jerk combined. After all three scores are recorded, the top three teams in each division will stand atop the podium and earn the title as the strongest.

Tiebreaker: In the event of an overall tie, combined bodyweight of both teammates will be recorded. The lightest team will win the tiebreaker. Bodyweight will not be considered until the end of competition if there is an overall tie after all three scores have been recorded.

Teams can choose to compete in the Scaled or Rxd division. Both teammates must compete in the same division. Each division will be distinguished by load on the barbells as listed below.

If one teammate fails to complete a lift, the other teammate can still continue through the ladder.

If an athlete sucessfully clears the entire ladder, we will continue to add 5-10lbs until failure. Their score will be their heaviest lift.

NEW Event Flow:

Scaled Divisions (MM & FF Teams)

The competition will begin with all Scaled Teams.

Event Order:

1. Snatch Ladder

2. Clean and Jerk Ladder

Once all scaled teams have completed both ladders, an award ceremony will take place for the Top 3 Scaled Teams (MM and FF).

RXD Divisions (MM & FF Teams)

Following the completion of the scaled divisions, RXD Teams will complete their events.

Event Order:

1. Snatch Ladder

2. Clean and Jerk Ladder

At the conclusion of both ladders, a second award ceremony will be held for the Top 3 RXD Teams (MM and FF).

Ladder Format and Flow: Female athletes in each division will snatch first, followed by male athletes. Then, female athletes will clean and jerk next followed by the male athletes.

Each pair of athletes will have 50 seconds to lift and a 10-second transition to the next barbell. Athletes will advance up the ladder to lift their heaviest possible load.

Spotlight Lifts: Athletes who complete the sixth bar on their platform will earn a position in the Spotlight Lifts.
