2026 Amoskeag Classic
About This Competition
The Amoskeag Classic is BACK!
CrossFit Amoskeag is excited to bring back the Amoskeag Classic in 2026, a 2-day individual event for all levels with cash prizes for all podium finishers in all divisions. The Amoskeag Classic is for anyone who wants to step their game up and feel what it’s like to compete on a bigger stage.
For our return we are going back to our roots, hosting individual competition for the entirety of the weekend! The RX, Intermediate, and Scaled divisions are back once more and will provide two days of events for all divisions using multiple indoor and outdoor spaces.
***NOTE: The event itself will NOT be processing any refunds. If you think you may need to withdraw for any reason prior to competition and would like a refund, please purchase the FanShield insurance when registering.***
STANDARDS*
In year's past, we have excluded individuals who made the CrossFit Games SemiFinals as individuals from competing at our event. This year, ANYONE can compete. Anyone interested in competing should use the below standards as their guide for choosing an appropriate division:
- RX: RX athletes should have proficiency in higher-skill movements such as Muscle Ups (both variations), HS Walking, HSPU (all variations), Double Unders, any/all rig movements, and full squat variations of the Olympic lifts for repetitions and/or maximal load.
- Intermediate: Intermediate athletes are working towards proficiency in higher-skill movements but are proficient in movements such as Muscle Ups (bar variation), kipping HSPU, Double Unders, Chest to Bar Pull-Ups, Toes to Bar, HS Walking in 5ft increments, as well as proficient or working on proficiency in full squat variations of the Olympic lifts for reps and/or maximal load.
- Scaled: Scaled athletes are working towards building skills in movements such as kipping Pull-Ups and Toes to Bar, but are able to perform basic skill movements such as jumping Pull-Ups/Ring Rows, Hanging Toe Raises, Hand Release Push-Ups, Open-standard scaled Wall Walks, Single Unders, and are able to perform power variations of the Olympic lifts for repetitions and/or maximal load.
THIS LIST OF STANDARDS IS NOT INCLUSIVE OF MOVEMENTS THAT MAY BE PROGRAMMED AT THE COMPETITION, IT IS SIMPLY A GUIDE.
**Any athlete may register in any division higher than their capabilities if they so choose, but not lower than their capabilities to maintain a fair competition field. There are no age restrictions in any division, other than athletes being 14+ (youngest age eligible to register for the CrossFit Games Open).
