About This Competition

Cam.Bro Competitions presents CINCO DE MAYO THROWDOWN. 

Hosted at CrossFit Lobo in San Antonio, Texas, this one-day event features same sex teams of three battling through challenging workouts designed to test power, endurance, and teamwork.
Expect fast transitions, big lifts, and an electric crowd as athletes push their limits together.


Standards for this years Cinco de Mayo Throwdown as follows:

Scaled standards

SCALED (GROUP 1)

These athletes are newer to CrossFit and/or are developing more skills and can do more than Super Scaled.

These athletes should be able to do the following:

Run/RowErg/BikeErg/SkiErg 

Does not have to be fast, just able to do it without injury or issue

Deadlift 155/105 in a workout for multiple reps

Front Squat 115/75 in a workout for multiple reps

Clean (or Power Clean) 115/75 in a workout for multiple reps

Snatch (or Power Snatch) 95/65 in a workout for multiple reps

Wall Ball Shots 20/14 in a workout for multiple reps

Box Jump/Step Up 24”/20” in a workout for multiple reps

A few pullups in a workout (under 15 reps in a 10 min workout)

Burpees, Single Unders, Bear Crawl, Walking Lunges.

These athletes WILL NOT BE ASKED to do the following:

○ Chest to Bar Pullups

○ Muscle Ups of any kind

○ Handstand Pushups or Handstand Walk


INTERMEDIATE


These athletes are more experienced in CrossFit and/or can do daily box workouts with Rx standards but not necessarily all the time.

These athletes should be able to do the following:

Run/RowErg/BikeErg/SkiErg without injury or issue

■ Run a mile in 8min/9min or less

Deadlift 175/115 in a workout for multiple reps

Front Squat 135/85 in a workout for multiple reps

Clean (or Power Clean) 135/85 in a workout for multiple reps

Snatch (or Power Snatch) 115/75 in a workout for multiple reps

Wall Ball Shots 20/14 in a workout for multiple reps

Box Jump/Step Up 24”/20” 

in a workout for multiple reps

A few Chest to Bar Pullups in a workout (under 20 reps in a 10 min workout)

Pullups, Burpees, Double Unders, Wall Walks, Rope Climbs

These athletes WILL NOT BE ASKED to do the following:

Muscle Ups of any kind

Handstand Pushups


RX


These athletes are the most experienced in CrossFit and can basically do anything asked of them. They do all workouts at their box Rx and compete in the Rx division for local competitions. During the Open, they never scale the workouts.

These athletes should be able to do the following:

Run/RowErg/BikeErg/SkiErg 

■ Run a mile in 8min/9min or less

Deadlift 205/135 in a workout for multiple reps

Front Squat 155/105 in a workout for multiple reps

Clean (or Power Clean) 155/105 in a workout for multiple reps

Snatch (or Power Snatch) 135/85 in a workout for multiple reps

Wall Ball Shots 20/14 in a workout for multiple reps

Box Jump/Step Up 30”/24” in a workout for multiple reps

Pullups and Muscle Ups of all kinds

Handstand Walks and Handstand Pushups

Burpees, Double Unders, Wall Walks, Pistols

Rope Climbs

One member of the team per lift. 

4 minutes to find max with a 2 minute transition into the next lift.
