About This Competition
In-house Christmas Comp
This comp will have 3 different divisions for pairs; MM/FF/MF. There will be one leaderboard and each team will have the option to either RX or Scale each workout as they compete throughout the day. Any team that chooses to Scale a workout will score below any team that completes that workout RX.
This comp is a great opportunity for every one of any ability level, whether you are a seasoned competitor or if this will be your first comp. This is a safe and controlled environment within our own gym and our own community. Workouts will be released withing the first week of December.
The comp will lead into our Christmas Party which will be held at the gym that same afternoon. The proceeds from your registration fee will be used to fund the Christmas party food/drinks/prizes/awards as well as comp prizes.
Never met the people from other classes because you train at the same time each day? This day will be a great opportunity for you to get to know the rest of our amazing community.
Members will compete inline with signed and acknowledges gym waiver which is available for viewing through the documents section in our Gym app.

Workouts
On the call of 3,2,1,GO, Partner 1 will start work on Karen, while Partner 2 starts work on the bike cals. Partners can swap at any time between the bike cals and Karen & Grace. Bike calories will stop being accumulated at the 5 minute mark, from there the team will continue working through Karen then Grace with 1 partner working and 1 partner resting.
Karen must be complete before moving onto grace. This workout has a 10 minute time cap.
Event 1 is scored for time. Any reps not complete by 10 minutes will be added on to 10:00 in seconds. Event 2 is scored for max bike calories in 5 minutes.
RX: 6/9kg Wallball, 42.5/60kg barbell
Scaled: 3/6kg Wallball, 30/42.5kg barbell

On the call of 3-2-1-GO, athletes will complete 30 𝘀𝘆𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗿𝗼 dumbbell snatches. Once all 30 are complete, 15 Burpees over dumbbell will be completed, with one athlete working, one resting. Once the 15 burpees over the dumbbell are complete, 10 box jump overs will be completed, one athlete working, one resting. Workout will continue in this fashion, following the prescribed rep scheme until complete or 8 minutes expires.
Burpees over dumbbell and box jump overs are shared however you like; 1 work, 1 rest. However, DB snatches must be synchro with a lock out at the top occurring at the same time.
RX Load- 15/22.5kg Dumbbell
RX Box- 20/24" box
Scaled Load- 10/15kg Dumbbell
Scaled Box- 20" box and step overs are allowed (can jump if you like)
Athletes start touching the wall under the rig. On the call of 3-2-1-GO, athletes will advance forward and complete 25 Deadlifts followed by, 40 pull-ups. They will then return back to their barbells, advance their bars forward and complete another 25 deadlifts followed by 40 chest to bar pull-ups. In the same fashion, they will return to their barbells, advance them forward and complete the final set of 25 deadlifts followed by 25 bar muscle ups. The time will stop once BOTH athletes run forward and step over their barbell. ALL reps are shared however you like between pairs.
