Gauntlet XVI - The FORCE
About This Competition
Brought to you by MetFix - the funnest fitness event returns Saturday, June 13th!
New Format!
The FORCE (Fitness Obstacle Race Course Event) is a two-person team event built around one simple idea: can you run an actual Gauntlet?
Teams will battle through a series of fitness events/obstacles paired with trail running. Complete the event. Hit the trail loop. Come back and face the next obstacle. Again and again until the course is finished.
How long? You'll have to sign up and find out
How many obstacles? See above
Every lap brings a new challenge to conquer. Some will test strength. Some will test grit. You and your partner decide how to split the work, but you finish together or you don’t finish at all.
We’re keeping the exact obstacles under wraps. Expect some previous Gauntlet-inspired ideas. This race tests your ability to communicate as a team, problem-solve on the fly, and, of course, your overall work capacity.
Find someone you trust.
Line up at the start.
And see if you can make it through The Gauntlet.
New Location! The Gauntlet will NOT take place at PSKC. It will be a secluded/wooded location 5 miles outside of Portsmouth. Coordinates will be given after registration.
DIVISIONS: M/M, F/F, M/F (Same Sex of Co-Ed)
CATEGORIES:
Competitor: This category is for the RX athlete who loves to compete and can do all the Open workouts RX’d.
Not So Serious: This division is great for first-time athletes, older athletes, or people who just want to throw down. The race will still be very challenging but will be programmed for athletes of all levels.
