Background

Deputy Andrew Nunez, 28, served with honor and dedication as a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputy, assigned to the Rancho Cucamonga station. On Monday, Oct. 27, Nunez made the ultimate sacrifice while responding to a domestic violence call, giving his life in service to his community.

Nunez was more than a dedicated law enforcement officer — he was a devoted husband, father, and friend. At CrossFit Rancho Cucamonga, where he was a valued member, Nunez earned the deep respect and affection of all who knew him. His presence brightened the lives of those around him, and his absence leaves an irreplaceable void.

Nunez is survived by his beloved wife, their precious 2-year-old daughter, and an unborn baby girl who will know her father’s legacy through the stories of his courage and love. Nunez also leaves behind his heartbroken mother, three brothers, and a sister, all of whom cherished him deeply.

Deputy Nunez embodied the finest qualities of service, sacrifice, and dedication. His memory will forever be honored by his family, his law enforcement family, and the community he bravely served and protected.

Scoring: Completion time; if time-capped, most reps wins
