CFW GAMES 2026
About This Competition
CFW Games 2026 is a community-driven, CrossFit-style competition hosted by CFW Health & Fitness in Waterloo.
The season begins with a 3-week CFW Open qualifier, where one workout is released each Friday. Athletes can compete in Rx, Intermediate, or Scaled divisions, making this event inclusive and accessible for all levels.
After the Open, athletes are ranked and seeded into their respective divisions for the live CFW Games Finals on Saturday, February 21st. The finals will feature multiple events per division, including individual and team competition.
We also offer a Co-Ed Team Division (1 male + 1 female), designed to build camaraderie, challenge your fitness, and bring the community together.

Workout Notes
Athletes must load their own barbell and secure with collars.
Any grip is permitted on the deadlift.
Deadlifts must reach full lockout at the top (hips and knees fully extended, shoulders behind the bar).
Bar-facing burpees require a two-foot takeoff and two-foot landing when jumping over the bar.
Reps may not be stepped over.
Score:
Time to complete the workout.
If the time cap is reached, score is total reps completed.
Scaling:
Scaled weights may be adjusted at the organizer’s discretion.

Workout Notes
Athletes must complete all prescribed reps before advancing.
Score is total time to complete the workout.
If the time cap is reached, score is total reps completed (including final gymnastics reps).
Movement Standards
Sit-Ups
Shoulders must pass the hip crease at the top.
Hands must touch the ground behind the head at the bottom.
Hand-Release Push-Ups
Chest and thighs touch the ground.
Hands must clearly release from the floor at the bottom.
Finish with arms locked out and hips fully extended.
Toes-to-Bar
Both feet must contact the bar simultaneously.
Heels must clearly pass behind the vertical plane of the bar at the bottom.
Strict Handstand Push-Ups (M)
Start at full lockout.
Head must make contact with the floor.
Finish at full lockout with control.
Wall Walks (F)
Chest and thighs touch the floor at start.
Hands must touch the line closest to the wall at the top.
Finish with arms fully extended.
Bar Muscle-Ups (M)
Start from full hang.
Finish with elbows locked out in the support position above the bar.
Pull-Ups (F)
Start from full hang.
Chin clearly over the bar at the top.
Any grip permitted.
Event #3 – Seven Shots
7-Minute Time Cap
7 Hang Snatches - For Total Accumulative Load

Score
Score = Total weight of all successful lifts combined.
Only successful lifts count toward the total.
Missed lifts do not count.
Example:
95 + 115 + 135 + 155 + 165 + 175 + 185 = Total Score
Event Notes
Athletes must load their own barbell and secure with collars.
Only 7 attempts are permitted.
Athletes may increase or decrease weight at their discretion.
All lifts must be completed within the 7-minute time cap.
Any style of snatch is permitted (power or squat).
Movement Standard – Hang Snatch
Barbell must be deadlifted first
Full lockout required at the top (hips, knees, elbows fully extended).
Athlete must demonstrate control before the down signal.
No press-out permitted.
