About This Competition
🎄 Horsham CrossFit Christmas Throwdown – Members Only 🎅
Join us on Saturday 20th December 2025 for a festive morning of fitness, fun, and friendly competition!
🕗 Time: 08:00 – 11:00
💪 Format: Same-sex pairs
🔥 Workouts: 3 WODs – Scaled & RX options
🎉 Theme: Christmas – fancy dress highly encouraged
💰 Cost: FREE (members only)
This event is all about testing your fitness, celebrating the end of the year, and bringing the community together. Whether you’re going RX or Scaled, you’ll get a solid challenge, plenty of laughs, and a chance to earn bragging rights before the mince pies take over.
Important:
You must be an active Horsham CrossFit member to enter.
One teammate registers both athletes.

Scaled Division will include adjusted movements however will very much be performed at high intensity.

Workouts
10-Minute EMOM (Two Tracks)
Track 1: Minutes 0–5
Every minute on the minute:
5/7 cals on the C2 Bike
Then, max burpees over box (BOB) in the remaining time
Track 2: Minutes 5–10
Every minute on the minute:
5/7 cals on the SkiErg
Then, max thrusters (25kg / 42.5kg) in the remaining time
Time Cap: 10 minutes total
Score: Total BOB + thrusters across all rounds
Strength Complex – 1 Rep Max
Time Cap: 10 minutes
Goal: Build to a heavy 1RM of the following complex:
1 Power Clean
1 Hang Power Clean
1 Front Squat
Standards:
Once the bar leaves the floor, it must not be dropped until all three movements are completed.
Dropping the bar early = no rep.
Strategy tip: Take your time between attempts, but make each lift count — 10 minutes goes fast.
Workout Format: Ascending Ladder (Add 2 reps each round)
Movements:
Handstand Push-Ups
Pull-Ups
Toes-to-Bar
Style: Relay – 10-minute AMRAP
On 3, 2, 1, go, Athlete 1 starts the ladder and can complete as many reps as they like. Athletes can switch at any time, but a physical tag is required.
Athlete 2 must wait in the designated area until tagged in. The team continues the ladder, adding 2 reps to each movement per round (e.g. 2-2-2, 4-4-4, 6-6-6, etc.). The clock stops at 10 minutes.
Goal: Get as far up the ladder as possible as a team!
