About This Competition

ATHLETE REGISTRATION: $150 ex processing Fees + Natural Strongman Membership (required before Event commencement + Valid for 12 months from date of purchase) https://www.naturalstrongman.org/store

(Registration Fee includes Shirt + local Testing Staff + Resources as required)

Natural Strongman Membership is not required to Register for this Event, however is a requirement for all Athletes to have prior to Competing.

SPECTATOR PASSES: $10 per day

ATHLETE WEIGH INS:

Event Kick-off will be 10am both days with 24 hour Weigh Ins available at the Venue at 10am until 11am;

  • Day 1 Athletes weigh in Friday
  • Day 2 Athletes weigh in Saturday
  • Athletes are welcome to weigh in on competition day, exact time to be advised.

EVENT RULES

1- ASCENDING WAGON WHEEL KRATOS BAR DEADLIFT

60 second time limit. Athletes can start strapped to bar and await referees “lift” call, then “down” call for rep to count. Weight will be added (10kg for women, 20kg for men) after every successful rep for 6 reps, then the weight can be repped out within remaining time. Referee calls MUST be adhered to for loader/athlete safety. Straps, wraps (including Knee Sleeves) allowed. Baby oil not allowed, talc only in designated area. 


2- YOKE/HUSSAFEL SANDBAG PURGATORY

90 second time limit. Athletes will choose to carry a Bag or Yoke for 10m up and back, then switch to the other implement and carry that the same 10m up and back. Repeat for as much distance as possible within time. Implements must be alternated after every successful run, cannot just repeat same implement. Middle of yoke must cross line at either end. Athletes foot must clearly touch 10m line, then whole sandbag must be dropped OVER return 20m line. Wraps, grip shirts, sleeves allowed. Chalk only, no other grip aid.


3- LOG ACCUMULATION 

60 second time limit. Athletes will have 3 logs to choose from. Accumulated points will determine placing. 1 point for lightest log, 3 points for middle, 10 points for heaviest. Athletes can choose to start wherever they like and do not need to be successful to switch to a different option. Standard log rules. No resting on head, jerks allowed, no belt looping.


4- FRAME CARRY

60 second time limit. 10m lengths, drop and turn. Max distance. Whole front of frame must touch the line. No drops allowed except at 10m turn points. No sliding over the line. White chalk only! No other grip aid. Belts and wraps allowed. 


5- STONE OVER BAR

3 attempt max. Ascending weight over 1.2m. Athlete can start with hands on stone. Stone must land on floor over yoke within 60 second time allowance for rep to count. Tacky, grip shirts, belts allowed. No chalk or oil near stones. 


*all rules subject to modification depending on event testing and venue.

*if something is not stated in the rules, DO NOT assume it is allowed. Either ask, or don’t do it. The rules will be pretty standard, let’s not try to bend them.

*any deliberate endangerment/abuse of spectators or helpers will result in immediate disqualification.
