About This Competition

RISE//HYBRID is a zone-based hybrid fitness race built for athletes who thrive under sustained effort. The format removes technical barriers while maintaining a relentless physical test across strength endurance, engine capacity, and mental resilience.

Athletes will rotate through six zones, spending 10 minutes at each station, completing as much work as possible before moving on at the sound of the horn. The clock runs continuously. There are no barbells and no rig-based gymnastics.


This is a true hybrid race — fast, fair, and unforgiving.


FORMAT
6 workout zones
10 minutes per zone
Continuous clock (no rest between zones)
Fixed rotation schedule
Total work completed across all zones determines final placing

Each zone is scored independently and combined for an overall result.


DIVISIONS
Open
Pro / RX
Doubles (same-sex)

Weights, distances, and movement standards will be scaled appropriately per division.

Minimum age: 18 years on competition day.


WORKOUT RELEASE
Full workouts & movement standards:

Released 7 days before the event
Final athlete briefing (heat times, floor layout, logistics):

Released 48 hours before competition day

Workouts will not change once released.


QUALIFYING & ELIGIBILITY
This is an open entry event — no qualification required.
Athletes must choose the division appropriate to their ability.
The organiser reserves the right to move athletes to a more suitable division if required.

SCORING
Each zone is scored independently (reps, rounds, or distance).
Final leaderboard ranking is based on total combined score.
Tie-breaker: Final zone score.
Judges’ decisions are final.

REFUND POLICY

All entries are non-refundable once submitted.

No refunds will be issued for:

Injury or illness
Travel or scheduling conflicts
Withdrawal for personal or professional reasons

By entering, athletes accept this policy in full.


SUBSTITUTIONS & TRANSFERS
Athlete substitutions are permitted up to 7 days before the event.
All substitutions must be requested via email and approved by the organiser.
No substitutions or division changes will be accepted within 7 days of competition day.
Entry transfers to future events are not permitted.

Doubles division:

One athlete substitution is permitted within the same division.

EQUIPMENT & ATTIRE
Closed-toe training shoes required
Belts, knee sleeves, wrist wraps, and grips permitted
No personal chalk buckets on the competition floor
Equipment must not interfere with other athletes or judging

JUDGING & STANDARDS
All workouts will be judged
Movement standards will be provided in advance
No-reps and penalties will be enforced
Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in penalties or disqualification

SPECTATORS & MEDIA
Spectators are welcome
Photography and media capture will take place throughout the event
