The Yorkshire Games - Beach Throwdown
Mixed 4's (MMFF) & Mixed Pairs
WHAT TO EXPECT
We will be running a classic CrossFit competition.... Just one the beach.
Teams will be tested in Lifting, Gymnastics (YES we haver a rig on the Beach) and Mono-structural movements, through varied time scales and modal domains.
Mixed 4' - We haven't set Rx, Intermediate or scaled for this beach event. Team can be mixed abilities and at least one member of the team should be able to do the following movements.

Dumbbells will be mixed wieghts 22.5 will be the heaviest and ranging down to 10kg
Kettle Bells as above the heaviest will 32 and ranging down to 12kg

There will be NO requirement for an individual to complete a specific number of reps, all workouts will allow for reps to be divided between team mates
Mixed Pairs - We have set divisions such as Scaed, Intermediate & RX and we will follow the CriossFit open standards and weights.

No refunds are available and teams will be resposible for selling or transfering theoir ticket if they cannot make the event.

Workouts
Every 3 minutes x 4 :30 sec rest between rounds (13:30 mins in total)
All 4 athletes working on the log and burpees together. Any pairs can work on the gymnastics swapping as needed.

12 Syncro team DOWN UPS (not burpee over the worm)

Kipping Pull ups 1 point
Kipping C2B 2 points
Bar Mu 4 points
We are stating kipping to allow it to be fairly judged all round. Syncro butterflies are difficult to judge.
Every 3 minutes x 4 (:30 seconds rest between sets, 13:30 mins in total)

10 Syncro Down-Ups (not burpee over the worm)

Bar touch Burpee (fixed height bar) = 1 point
All movements to be kipping to allow for judging.
In sub teams of 2 (teams split as they like) All teams are given 1 x 24, 2 x 16 and 1 x 12kg KB. Team members choose their weight and stick with it throughout, NO SWAPPING
Both sub pairs complete the 21's, 18's & 15s

Then all athletes run off into the sea before making their way back for their time
10 Minute AMRAP of Calorie row
1 person always rowing, 3 members working on chipper, 2 syncro and 1 resting.
60 Syncro Alternating DB snatch 22.5/15kg (Any athlete can use either weight)

If teams complete all reps within the 10 minutes ALL athletes can help on the rower.If any reps are not done on the 10 minute mark, these reps are deducted off the total calories.
M/M + F/F sub pairs - For time (This is a 2 scoring event)
2 Rounds each sub pair
400m run
72 Wall balls (9/6kg)
Males run first, Ladies start on the wall balls
Part A - Time for rounds complete
Then a full team farmers carry 200m
Teams have 2 x 16kg 2 x 24kg kettles, any team members can carry any weight
Part B - Total time scored
If a team finished the wallballs before the runners are back they can go for the run. If a team gets back before their team are still wall balling they must wait their turn.
Teams must set off on the farmers carries together, score is time the last set of kettlebells comes over the line. Males can only carry 24s ladies can only carry 16s. Pairs can with as needed on the carries.
