The CFW Games are an in-house functional fitness competition designed for all skill levels — from everyday gym-goers to competitive athletes.
Think of it like signing up for a 5K, but instead of only running, you’ll test your fitness across strength, endurance, skill, coordination, and overall work capacity. The goal isn’t just to win — it’s to challenge yourself, learn more about your fitness, and have fun doing it alongside the CFW community.
Whether this is your first time competing or you’ve done events before, the CFW Games are built to be approachable, inclusive, and motivating.
How the CFW Games Work
The CFW Games are broken into two stages.
Stage 1 — The CFW Open (3-Week Qualifier)
The competition begins with the CFW Open, a 3-week qualifier that is open to everyone.
Start Date: Friday, January 23rd
Duration: 3 weeks
Workouts: 1 workout released each week on Fridays
Submission Window: Friday → Thursday each week
Each Open workout includes multiple versions so you can choose the option that best suits your current abilities:
- Rx (Prescribed)
- Intermediate
- Scaled (Beginner Friendly)
You can complete each CFW Open workout in one of three ways:
- Friday Night Lights at CFW (recommended for the full experience)
- Judged by a CFW Coach during the week
- Video submission (competing off-site)
The Open is designed to be welcoming for newer athletes, challenging for experienced members, and community-driven for everyone.
Stage 2 — The CFW Games (Live Finals)
After the 3-week Open, athletes are ranked based on their performance and seeded into divisions for the live event.
The CFW Games Finals take place:
📅 Saturday, February 21st
📍 Live and in person at CFW
Individual Divisions
- Rx Division: Top 6 Males + Top 6 Females
- Intermediate Division: Ranked 7th–12th (6 Males + 6 Females)
- Scaled Division: Ranked 13th–18th (6 Males + 6 Females)
You don’t need to choose your final division ahead of time — your Open results determine where you compete, ensuring fair and balanced competition.
Each division will compete through multiple events to battle for podium spots.
Team Division
In addition to the individual competition, there is also a Team Division.
Teams of 4 athletes (2 men + 2 women)
- No qualification required
- All teams automatically compete at the CFW Games
- Teams are created when registering for the CFW Open
***All team members need to be signed up as individuals even if you don't compete as an individual at the CFW Games***
This option is perfect if you want the excitement of competition, teamwork, and fun — without the pressure of qualifying.
Why Do the CFW Games?
