About This Competition

TEAMS OF 3

Teams can be FFF, MMM, FMM, or FFM and will compete against each other regardless of composition. Workouts are designed to ensure fairness across all team combinations.

We want to close out the year before Christmas with something unique and FUN — team up with whoever you want, any mix of gender and ability, and take on the TCSC Trifecta!

WHAT'S INCLUDED ... HOW MANY WORKOUTS?

  • A full day of competition with 3 scored events per team (some with multiple scoring components).
  • The Sorter: the first event will act as a tier-sorting qualifier, with strength + gymnastics components. Your scores from this event both determine your tier and carry forward into the overall standings.
  • After the Sorter, teams will be placed into Tier 1 / Tier 2 / Tier 3 and battle in race-style “for time” events for podium spots.
  • Swag Bags / Tier Qualification Prize Packs for all athletes
  • Podium awards in all tiers.
  • Post-event Pizza Party & Social!

TIMELINE

  • We are known for sticking to a very strict schedule — usually within a few seconds of our posted heat schedule.
  • This event will start mid-day on Saturday, December 6th, and wrap up in the evening with podium awards and a post-event social.
  • The exact timeline will be published closer to the event once registration is closed and heats are finalized.

WORKOUTS

Workouts will be released in October/November. The first event (Sorter) will be announced with details on lift, gymnastics movement options, and scoring examples.

DIVISIONS / TIERS

  • Instead of registering into divisions, all teams register into the same pool to start the day.
  • The Sorter event naturally sorts teams into Tiers (Tier 1, 2, 3). Each tier has its own podium and prizes.

REFUND POLICY

Please note that we do not offer refunds if you become injured or are otherwise unable to compete. However, you may transfer individual registration to another athlete.

During registration, you’ll have the option to purchase competition insurance through a third-party provider. This insurance is not affiliated with the event organizers, but we highly recommend you take advantage of it. As a small business, we simply can’t absorb the financial impact of refunding spots once they’ve been reserved. This small additional cost provides you peace of mind and helps us continue to run high-quality events for the community.

Workouts

EVENT 1 – “THE SORTER”

 

FLOW

Format: Teams of 3

Structure: 3 SETS · 3:00 CLOCK / 2:00 REST

Each 3:00 Set:

  • A1) Completes SkiErg Buy-In — 400m (Men) / 330m (Women)
  • A2) MAX Front Rack Lunges in remainder
  • A3) MAX “Pulling” in remainder

Rotate roles during 2:00 rest so all athletes complete each station once.


SCORING

  • 1A – SkiErg Time (Leaderboard Weight 50 pts)
    • Add the 3 SkiErg finish times. Lowest cumulative = best.
  • 1B – Lunge Points (Leaderboard Weight 100 pts)
    • Reps × Weight. Barbell starts on ground, must be alternating legs.
    • Women’s scores divided by 0.7.
    • Women Example:
      • 85 lb × 20 reps = 1700 raw points
      • 1700 ÷ 0.7 = 2429 points
    • Men Example:
      • 115 lb × 24 reps = 2760 raw points
      • = 2760 points
  • 1C – Pulling Points (Leaderboard Weight 100 pts)
    • 1 Bar Muscle-Up = 50 pts
    • 1 Chest-to-Bar Pull-Up = 10 pts
    • 1 Ring Row = 1 pt
    • Athletes may mix movements.
      • Example: Do 6 Bar Muscle-Ups, then Chest-to-Bar Pull-Ups in the remainder.

SORTER SYSTEM

  • Add the 3 leaderboard scores (SkiErg + Lunge + Pulling) for a team’s Sorter Total.
  • Teams are seeded into Tier I, Tier II, or Tier III based on Sorter rankings.
  • Sorter points carry forward into Tier events (TBA).

THE SORTER (PULLING COMPONENT) - FOR SCORING:

LUNGE REPS

  • Score: Total Combined Lunge Points From All 3 Athletes
  • Reps x Weight. Women Points Divided by 0.7.
  • 1st Place LEADERBOARD POINTS VALUE:
    • (FOR SORTER, AND RESETS/CARRIES INTO TIERS AFTER SORTING)
    • Combined Lunge Points: 100 Leaderboard points

NOTES – TIER I

  • Teams must complete all 9 rounds in the order listed; each athlete must complete 3 full rounds.
  • Teams may choose athlete order freely.
  • The 20ft Handstand Walk must be completed unbroken in 10ft sections (any break requires restarting that section).
  • Athletes may substitute any 20ft Handstand Walk with 60ft Burpee Broad Jumps at any time, on the fly.
  • Both Strict HSPU variations (Rounds 4–6 and 7–9) are performed to flat, with hands on a 30" wide tape line.

  • Strict HSPU for Rounds 7–9 are performed to an HSPU Mat with one 25# plate under the head, with hands on a 30" wide tape line.

TIER WORKOUT 3A — 3rd Degree Burn

TIER I & TIER II & TIER III

FOR TIME (IN INDIVIDUAL HEATS)

  • 9 Power Cleans (athlete pre-declared choice weight with Load Bonus applied)
  • 9 Burpee Box Jump Overs (20"/20")
  • 9 / 13 calorie Echo Bike

Score = Time (in seconds) – Load Bonus
(Lower score is better.)

TIER WORKOUT 3B — THREE'S COMPANY

TIER I & TIER II & TIER III

FOR TIME

  • 1500m Row (Women) / 1750m Row (Men) — 1 athlete only (not shared)

AND / SIMULTANEOUS:

  • 250 Skipping Reps (SPLIT, 1 athlete working at a time)
  • 75 Single DB Box Step Overs @ 20" Box (SPLIT, 1 athlete working at a time)
  • 75 Single DB Hang Clean + S2O (SYNCHRO, 2 athletes)
  • 15 Single DB Devil's Press (SYNCHRO, 3 athletes)

  • TIER I: 40# / 60# — Double Unders
