About This Competition
THE HYBRID 60
The Hybrid 60 is a high-energy, one-hour fitness event designed to test your engine and teamwork. You’ll compete in mixed-partner teams (1 male + 1 female) across a single 60-minute workout, working together to complete the challenge as efficiently as possible.
This event is split into two divisions - Competitive and Everyday - So Athletes can choose the experience that best suits their training background. The workout has been built to be inclusive and accessible, with movements and loads chosen so anyone who trains regularly can participate—while still offering a serious test for those who want to push hard. Strategy, communication, and pacing will matter just as much as fitness.
EVENT FORMAT
Mixed pairs: 1 male + 1 female (Competitive & Everyday Divisions)
- 1 workout only
- 60 minutes continuous
- You and your partner will share the workload however you choose unless otherwise stated
- All teams will complete the same workout
WORKOUT RELEASE
- The workout will be released as soon as event is announced
- No additional workouts will be announced
- Movement standards and weights will be clearly outlined upon release
SCORING
- Scoring method will be confirmed with the workout release
- All teams will be ranked on the same scoring system
SUBSTITUTIONS
- Partner substitutions are allowed up to 7 days before the event
- Substitutions must remain male/female
- All substitution requests must be submitted via DM to our hybrid theory instagram account and confirmed by event staff
- No substitutions will be accepted within 7 days of the event
REFUND POLICY
- No refunds will be issued once registration is completed
- If you are unable to compete, you may transfer your entry to another eligible team (subject to the substitution policy above)
- Event tickets are non-refundable in the case of injury, illness, or change of personal circumstances
GENERAL POLICIES
- Athletes must arrive at least 45 minutes prior to their scheduled start time
- All participants must follow judge instructions and movement standards
- Unsportsmanlike behaviour may result in penalties or disqualification
- This is a physical event—participants compete at their own risk

- Athletes who want a competitive but approachable event
- Friends, couples, or training partners looking to test themselves together
