ROWmaha Showdown: After Dark Edition 2025
About This Competition
Omaha's ONLY Indoor Rowing AND Functional Fitness Compteition!
As we are approaching year 4, you will note new elements each time! I like to keep it interesting!
For 2025, Late Night Edition, TEAMS OF EITHER M/M or F/F.
You can expect 3 workouts and 1 floater.
Two of the workouts will be released two weeks before the comp. The third workout (chosen hopper-style) and the floater will be released day of.
This year is all about community, fitness, and health. Instead of waking up wishing you'd stayed home, wake up feeling strong from a night at the gym! Think DJ, rave scene but with fitness.......

Workouts
Death By:
minute 1: 50 meters
minute 2: 100 meters
minute 3: 150 meters
minute 4: 200 meters
minute 5: 250 meters
minute 6: 300 meters
minute 7: 350 meters
minute 8: 400 meters
Complete the meters in the given minute, until you cant.
SCORE: meters completed in the time alloted + meters in the failed minute
Ski, Row, Kb Russian, Goblet Squat mash up.
Partners MUST alternate rounds.
Ex: partner 1 does ALL squats. 1-3-5..etc
partner 2 does ALL kb swings . 2-4-6...etc

If you get past this in 15:00 I have some olympic coaches you need to meet.
Score: total reps completed
4:00 for max METERS @ 26 strokes per minute rowing+4:00 max reps single under jump rope
NO REST BETWEEN
MUST average 26 strokes per minute for 4:00.
*deduct 20 penalty reps off total score for each +/-
ex: 4:00@25s/m
875 meters +300 single under reps=1175
1175m -20 = 1155 total (20m deduction for stroke rate difference)
This is a two part event. Top half of each division will advance.
BOTH athletes are on a rower. Rowers facing eachother with the fans facing out. The wires must be able to connect to the other monitor.
The monitor will be preset for both of these events.
1. Row 250m for time . The monitor will be set to 250m. The memory will be used for exact finish time.
2. A judge will then switch monitor chords, replacing into the other athletes monitor. The monitor will be set to 1000m .
Athlete A will see Athlete B's metrics.. (athlete b will see athlete a's metrics. )
2.a. Both athletes must row 1000m.
Men will have to blindly ro a 1:50 split until 1000m is achieved.
Women will have to blindly row a 2:10 split until 1000m is achieved.
They must communicate to the partner what their split is. The goal is to row the goal split blindly based on their partners communication.
Score A: combined score of the 250m row
Score B: add the combined difference from the split goals. That number will be added to the overall time from score A
faster time is better
If there is a tie, teams will face off rowing 1:00 max meters. All 4 athletes will go at once.
EVENT: hopper style floater #1
switch every :30
C2 bike max meters in 2:00
