About This Competition

BATTLE OF THE AGES '25 

A one-day Individual Fitness Competition honouring all ages!

Battle Of The Ages is a unique fitness competition designed to give every athlete the chance to compete on a level playing field, no matter their age or experience. Whether you're 15 or 55+, this event is your opportunity to step onto the floor with confidence, surrounded by others in the same stage of life.

We created this competition to remove the intimidation that can come with traditional "Open" individual comps. You won’t be going up against young guns in their prime or long-time veterans. Instead, you’ll compete against others in your own age bracket, in an environment that challenges, celebrates and respects every stage of the journey.

Our goal is simple: to bring together a wide range of athletes for a professional, inclusive, and energising competition experience that proves age is just a number.


Event Details
Date: Sunday 23rd November, 2025
Athlete Check-In: 7:00am
First Heat Begins: 8:00am
Location: Benton Gym, Southern Highlands, NSW
Registration Opens: 6:00pm, Thursday 7th July, 2025


Divisions
Both male and female divisions are available across the following age brackets.
Your division is based on your age on the day of competition.
Photo ID will be required at athlete check-in.

There are no RX or Scaled categories. Your age bracket is your division, making it an even and fair test across the board.


Programming
Programming has been designed by CrossFit Games athlete Ben Garard and the Benton Gym team, with a focus on well-rounded, inclusive fitness. Expect workouts that resemble the style and intensity of the CrossFit Open - built around foundational movements and work capacity, not elite-level gymnastics or complex heavy lifts.

All events have been tested by a wide range of Benton members to ensure they are challenging, achievable, and rewarding for athletes of all fitness levels.


What You Can Expect
5 scored events across the day
10-lane floor setup just like the big stage events 
Indoor and outdoor arenas running simultaneously to allow for variety, quick transitions, and an action-packed schedule
Carefully balanced programming across all events
Movement standards released several weeks prior to the event so you know exactly what to train for
Live DJ bringing the energy
Designated spectator areas for friends and family to come cheer you on!

Registration Info
Spots are strictly limited per age group. Once your division is full, that’s it - no qualifiers, first in first served. This helps us deliver a high-quality event with a strong atmosphere and a smooth competition flow. Get in early to secure your place.


Transfers
If you can no longer compete, you are welcome to transfer your registration to another athlete in the same age group and division, up until Sunday 16th November, 2025. Please email us to arrange.
