Welcome to The Dairy Grind, Cornwall’s ultimate weekend of functional farm fitness fuelled by Red Bull! Set in the rolling fields of Polshea Farm, St Tudy, this unique event blends the charm of countryside life with the grit of functional fitness.
Gather your squad of six (3 men, 3 women) and get ready to embrace the ultimate test of teamwork and grit at The Dairy Grind, our functional fitness farm competition! This one-of-a-kind event invites you to step outside the box and take on exciting challenges like odd-object movements, running through open fields, flipping tyres, and maybe even pulling a tractor! Expect to push your limits and work closely with your team of six to tackle every obstacle. Whether you're here to compete or just have fun, it's all about enjoying the experience, making memories, and celebrating fitness in the great outdoors. Don't miss the chance to be part of this muddy, action-packed adventure!
Expect a festival atmosphere with pumping music, delicious food, and an array of vendors to explore between events. Whether you’re flipping tyres or flipping burgers with your teammates, this weekend promises camaraderie, competition, and a true celebration of fitness in the field.

Waiver
Waivers will be sent to all athletes via the email associated with your Team Aretas account. Please ensure this is signed prior to the event taking place.
Movement Standards (this is only a guide and is not a definitive list of what will be included)
DB Movements - M22.5kg F15kg
Box Jumps/Step Ups - M24" F20"
Double Unders
Rope Climbs
Able to perform the following complexes:
Snatch Movements - 43kg/30kg
Clean/Clean & Jerk Movements - 60kg/43kg
The competition aims to be an inclusive and fun weekend and therefore not every team member will be required to perform the above movements. All workouts will include a variety of weights and movements to suit all abilities.
*we have a strict no refund policy. This will only be an option in the case that we have to cancel or postpone the event. In any other scenario, teams will be responsible for organising the selling and transfer of their team place (please let us know of any team transfers ahead of the event)

Teams will split into subteams of 3

20 synchro dual DB deadlifts
All 3 under the A frame
20 synchro tyre push press
(all 3 working at the same time)
Sub Teams can switch stations as required
Score will be total amount of combined calories plus rounds and reps
AMRAP 15
Teams will split into subteams of 3 with one sub team working through as many rounds and reps and the other sub team working through max distance on the ski erg at the same time

3 Mile Run Loop:
All 6 team mates complete a 1 mile run
1 athlete drops off at the mile mark
5 team mates complete the second mile run
2 athletes drop off at the two mile mark
3 team mates complete the third mile run
Score = total time to complete the three miles, including each mile split time
For time:
All 6 athletes are working synchronised for the entire workout

2 athletes: 40 wall ball shots @ 6/9kg

AMRAP in remaining time:
4 athletes working / 2 resting:

6 worm thrusters
Athletes can swap in and out as required on the amrap
Scores = total amount of rounds and reps
Each team will split off into pairs
Pair A will complete together:
20m Tyre pull
Hay bale overs
30m Farmers carry
20m Tyre flips
Balance beam walk
The pairs will then run back to the start line and tag in Pair B, then C and repeat until 15:00 min mark
Score = Total amount of full obstacle courses completed
On a 6 minute clock
Teams will split into sub teams of 2:
Subteam one: 3 females
Subteam two: 3 males
3 females will go first:
30 sandbag cleans @ 30kg
20 sandbag cleans @ 50kg
10 sandbag cleans @ 70kg
Cap: 6 minutes
2:00 transition
3 males will go next:
30 sandbag cleans @ 50kg
20 sandbag cleans @ 70kg
10 sandbag cleans @ 90kg
Cap 6:00 minutes
Teams can split the reps on the sandbag cleans however they like
Score = total time taken to clear each station combined (men + women score together)
