About This Competition

Grab your two besties and join us for a three-person partner Spook-tacular CrossFit competition.

With both Rx and Scaled divisions, athletes of all levels will face challenging workouts built to demand strategy, strength, and intensity.

Awards will be given to the top three teams in each division and....

For those proving that age is just a number, the coveted Zombie Award where age meets performance—proof that experience, endurance, and grit don’t fade with time.

Register by October 4th to get a Goblin Games shirt included with registration!!

ADDITIONAL INFO:

  • Expect three WODs, a floater and one final for top teams
  • In an emergency, team members can be modified in your Competition Corner registration account, until October 13th. After October 13th, you must contact Maria at maria@crossfitenforce.com.  Shirt size changes after October 4th cannot to be accommodated.
  • No pets
  • Parking limited at the gym.  Park in the large lot at 18620 Woodfield Rd and walk up to the gym.
  • Workouts will be released in advance of the event.

Workouts

Tie break after round 1

One partner working at a time except for the synchro DB thrusters.  You must complete the designated number per movement before advancing to the next movement.  Teams may split the work as desired.  

At 3-2-1-Go

Partner 1 starts the jump rope movement.  Only one teammate can be in the assigned space at a time.  

Double unders: rope must pass under feet twice during a single jump.  Rope must swing forward.

Toes-to-Bar: Each rep begins in a full hang, with arms and hips extended. Both feet must simultaneously make contact with the bar. On the return, the heels must travel back past the vertical plane of the bar and the body to start the next rep.  Any grip may be used. 

Synchro Single DB Thrusters: Each set of dumbbell thrusters begins with the dumbbell on the ground. Hold the dumbbell in the front-rack position during the squat (DB horizontal, not vertical).  Dumbbells move from the bottom of a front squat to full lockout overhead. A full squat clean into the thruster is allowed when the dumbbell is taken from the floor. The hip crease must clearly pass below the top of the knees in the bottom position. 

The rep is credited when: All 3 partners have the dumbbell locked out overhead, with the hips, knees, and arms fully extended and dumbbells are directly over or slightly behind the middle of the body. 

Re-dipping during the press (i.e., performing a jerk) will result in a “no rep.” No dropping the DB from OH!! Will be a no rep.

Pull over - Athletes must use a bar where feet are not touching the ground when hanging from the bar.  The feet will pass over the top of the bar and the movement ends with arms locked out and shoulders inline or slightly in front of the bar.

Score: Row cals + Reps from AMRAP

At 3-2-1-Go all athletes will be standing at the start line and may progress to the rower and the rig.

Rower: The rower will be set to countdown time in competition mode. The athletes will not touch the monitor buttons at any time during the row.  Score will be total amount of calories rowed as recorded by the rower at the end of the 8 minutes.

C2B: The movement begins with arms fully extended at the bottom. The rep is counted when the athlete's chest makes clear contact with the bar at or below the collarbone. Any style of pulling is allowed, and the hands may be taped or use grips, but not both.

Ring Rows: The movement begins with the athlete’s feet on the stacked plates arms fully extended and locked out. The rep is counted when the rings/knuckles make clear contact with the chest.

Burpee Box Jump Over: The burpee box jump-over starts with the athlete perpendicular to the box while touching their chest and thighs to the ground and finishes with the athlete jumping over the box.  Setting the box at an angle is not allowed.  A two-foot takeoff is required, and only the athlete’s feet may touch the box. After landing on the box, the athlete may jump or step off to the other side.  If the athlete lands on the box, both feet must touch the box before stepping or jumping off. Alternatively, the athlete may jump completely over the box.  If jumping over the box, the feet must pass over the box, not around it, and the athlete must use a two-foot landing.  The rep is credited when the athlete is on the other side of the box.

Burpee Box Step-over:  The same as the BBJ but the athlete MUST step up onto the box and step off the box.

6 minutes to establish a 3 RM front squat

Following WOD1 you have 1 minute to load your bar.

At 3-2-1-Go…

The workout starts with the barbell on the ground. The rep begins from the top, with knees and hips extended and barbell on the shoulders. A squat clean is allowed for the first repetition. The barbell must be held on the shoulders. The athlete is required to maintain a loose grip on the barbell the entire time. At the bottom of the squat, the hip crease must pass below the knees. At the top, the hips and knees must be fully extended.

Score is heaviest 3 reps for each partner added together.

5min AMRAP

  • Partner 1&2 sandbag over box to other partner
  • Partner 3 double KB overhead hold

Rx: M/M/M 100lb sandbag, 53lb KB; F/F/F 75lb sandbag, 35lb KBs

Scaled: M/M/M 75lb sandbag, 35lb KB; F/F/F 50lb sandbag, 26lb KBs

Partner 1&2 are accumulating reps of sandbag over stacked boxes while Partner 3 is holding KBs overhead.  The rep is counted when the bag lands on the other side of the box.

Tie break – number of times partner resets KB – lower is better

At 3-2-1-Go Partner 3 positions the KB OH at that point partner 1 and 2 may start to move the sandbag.  Partner must pick sandbag from the ground. Partner 2 can’t touch the sandbag until it lands on their side.

Reps can only be accumulated if the KBs are overhead.  If one or both KBs come down mid-rep the sandbag comes back to the ground until the KBs are overhead.  Partners may switch places at any point. Arms do not need to be locked out but the bottom of the KB must remain above the head. KB must be taken from the ground, can’t be rested on the box. 

No dropping the KB from overhead (1 rep penalty).
