About This Competition

We’ve created The Gauntlet to be inclusive and empowering—an accessible competition for all fitness levels and backgrounds. With lower skill thresholds and simplified technical elements, The Gauntlet invites a wide range of athletes to participate, thrive, and be celebrated.


By signing up for The Gauntlet, you’re committing to more than just a competition, you’re stepping into a powerful experience designed to challenge you, uplift you, and ignite the inner athlete within. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor, a first-timer on the competition floor, or simply someone who thrives on the pursuit of growth, The Gauntlet is your arena.


All bodies. All levels. All are welcome. Together, we rise.


WHEN

The Gauntlet will take place on all three competition days during TYR Wodapalooza SoCal, September 19-21, 2025, and be featured on its own dedicated stage. 

LEVELS

  • Open Light for our beginner athletes.
    Includes dumbbells at lighter loads, no barbells.

  • Open for our beginner to intermediate level athletes.
    Includes dumbbells at moderate loads, no barbells.

  • Rx Light for our scaled to intermediate level athletes.
    Includes barbells at lighter loads.

  • Rx for our intermediate to high level athletes.
    Includes barbells at higher loads.


WAYS TO PARTICIPATE

Offering Individual and Pair options in all available levels. 

Pairs can be MM, FF, or MF


REGISTRATION FEES

  • Individual $65 per person + service fees
  • Pairs $115 per pair + service fees

Important Note regarding access to the full event. 

To gain access to all stages of TYR WZA SoCal, we invite you to purchase a spectator pass. We are offering 20% off spectator passes to all Gauntlet athletes.
Athletes will recieve their custom discount code in their registration email.
