Msquared | AlphaX 

Get ready for a unique fitness experience coming to Cairo!

Get ready, Cairo! Msquared | AlphaX is having its second event on Saturday, April 18th, at Egyptian International Conference Center Al Manara Arena (Hall 1).

Msquared | AlphaX is a cutting-edge hybrid fitness race designed to bridge endurance and functional fitness. It’s not just a competition, it’s an arena where everyone belongs here. 

Combining running with functional fitness, participants must complete 10 fitness stations/workouts, with the race format consisting of an 800-meter run followed by a fitness station culminating in a total distance of 8 kilometers. The race tests key functional movements – Pushing, Pulling, Carrying, lifting & jumping – Crafted to be both scalable and engaging making the event accessible for all levels while delivering the thrill of true competition.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

  • Race Format: Individuals & Teams (Solo / Pair / Relay)
  • Date: 18 April 2026
  • Venue: Egyptian International Conference Center Al Manara Arena (Hall 1)
  • Registration Window: 10 February — 10 April 2026 on a first come first serve basis
  • Age Limit: Athletes 16+ can participate in any of the race divisions

Divisions:

  • Solo Open: Take on the full 8km race as an individual. Suitable for all type of athletes
  • Solo Base: Half the distance [4km], 10 stations with lighter weight. Suitable for beginners.
  • Pair Open: Take on the race as a pair. Run together while splitting the workload at each fitness station. Teams can be same-gender or mixed, with no age limits.
  • Pair Base: Take on the Half race: [4km], 10 stations, and lighter weights. Compete as a pair, run side by side, and split the work at each fitness station. Teams can be same-gender or mixed, with no age limits.
  • Relay [TEAM OF 4]:The fastest and most accessible version of the race, split the race between 4 people. Teams can be same-gender or mixed, with no age restrictions.

Provisional Start Times:

07:30 Gates Open
09:00 – 09:50 Relay
10:00 – 10:40 Pairs Base 
11:10 – 13:10 Pairs Open
14:10 – 16:50 Solo Open
17:00 – 19:40 Solo Base

*Please note that your individual start time will be communicated approximately 3 days before the event. Please keep an eye on your email for this important update. These times are fixed and cannot be changed.

* Individuals/teams are required to log in 60-90 minutes before their start time.

Age Groups & Podium Winners:

We will hold age group podiums for the top three finishers in each division, gender and age category, where they receive a medal. Age groups are determined by the athlete’s age on the year of the race for Solo, or the average age for Pairs and relays. Age groups are structured based on the below:

  • Solo: U21 – U30 – U40 – U50 – U60 – 60+
  • Pairs: U30 – U40 – U50 – U60 – 60+  [Average age of the team: (A1+A2)/2]
  • Relay: U40 – 40+ [Average age of the team – (A1+A2+A3+A4)/4]

Age Groups Ceremony:

  • Awards per division happen 90-120 min after all athletes in each division have completed
  • A detailed ceremony schedule will be available 2 days before the event.

Your Race Day Access Includes:

  • One free spectator ticket per athlete.
  • Finisher Patch per person (only awarded in the event of successful completion of the race).
  • Live results & Individual finisher time with split timings for each workout powered by Mylaps timing system.
  • Digital Race certificate.
  • Hydration stops around the course.
  • Award ceremonies for each division and age group.

Race Format:

All Divisions except the Solo Base and Pairs Base will perform the following race format:

800m Run – 800m Row – 800m Run – 50m Sled Push – 800m Run – 50m Burpee Broad Jumps – 800m Run – 200m Farmers Carry – 800m Run – 80m Sandbag lunge – 800m Run – 800m Ski – 800m Run – 50m Sled Pull – 800m Run – 40 Box Get Over – 800m Run – 200m Bear Hug Walk – 800m Run – 80 Wallballs

Solo Base and Pairs Base:

The solo base is the scaled version of the race, participants will perform 10x 400-meter run followed by a 1 fitness station, culminating in a total distance of 4 kilometers. Some of the fitness stations will be lighter than the Solo.

Registration Fees:

Early Bird:

  • Solo: 1200 EGP (26 USD) 
  • Pairs: 2000 EGP (43 USD) 
  • Relay: 4400 EGP (96 USD) 

Normal: 

  • Solo: 1600 EGP (35 USD)
  • Pairs: 2800 EGP (61 USD)
  • Relay: 5400 EGP (117 USD)

  • The Athletes can do their 2 segments separately or back to back, which means: 2 athletes will do 3 segments, 2 athletes will do 2 segments
