BMH Competition
About This Competition
Team of 3 - 3 Events - 3 Minutes Each
This December, BMH Fitness brings a new team of 3 fitness challenges built entirely around the power of three. Each station lasts 3 minutes, and athletes earn points based on movement difficulty; the easier the option, the fewer the points; the harder the option, the bigger the reward. Choose to play it safe or go heavy and chase max points. Strategy and teamwork will decide the champoins.

Event 1
Teams of 3 • 9 Minutes Total (3 Minutes Each Athlete)
Overview
This event tests raw strength, strategy, and pacing. Each athlete has 3 minutes to score as many points as possible on a descending-penalty deadlift ladder.
The Deadlift Ladder Weights:
Bar 1 60 kg 1 point
Bar 2 80 kg 2 points
Bar 3 100 kg 3 points
Bar 4 120 kg 4 points
Bar 5 140 kg 5 points
Athletes may lift any bar, in any order, as many times as they want within their 3-minute window.
MOVEMENT RULE: Crossing to a Heavier Bar
To move up from a lighter bar to a heavier bar, the athlete must complete:
✔ 4 Over-Bar Burpees (Penalty)
Must be done every time the athlete advances to a heavier bar.
No penalty is required if:
The athlete stays on the same bar, or
Moves down to a lighter bar.
Flow of the Event
Athlete 1 starts at 0:00 and works until 3:00.
Athlete 2 begins at 3:00 and works until 6:00.
Athlete 3 begins at 6:00 and works until 9:00.
Total event time: 9 minutes.
Each athlete accumulates their own points; the team score is the sum of all points scored by all three athletes.
Scoring
Score = Total Points Lifted Across the Team.
Event 2
Teams of 3 • 9 Minutes Total (3 Minutes Each Athlete)
Overview
Athletes will earn points by choosing between three pulling movements—Pull-Ups, Chest-to-Bar Pull-Ups, or Muscle-Ups. Higher-skill movements reward more points, but advancing to a more difficult variation requires completing a wall-ball penalty.
Movement Options & Point Values
Movement Points per Rep
Pull-Up (PU) 1 point
Chest-to-Bar Pull-Up (C2B) 2 points
Muscle-Up (MU) 3 points
Athletes may perform any movement at any time, but must complete the penalty below when advancing to a harder variation.
Progression Rule: Advancing in Difficulty
To move UP a level (e.g., PU → C2B or C2B → MU), athletes must perform:
✔ 10 Wall Balls (Penalty)
Details:
Athletes must complete 10 wall balls every time they progress to a harder movement.
No penalty when:
Staying at the same movement level.
Moving down to an easier movement.
Recommended wall-ball standard:
9/6 kg balls
Target heights: 10’/9’ (3.05m/2.75m)
(Adjust for your competition if needed.)
Flow of the Event
Athlete 1 works from 0:00–3:00
Athlete 2 works from 3:00–6:00
Athlete 3 works from 6:00–9:00
Total team time: 9 minutes.
Each athlete earns as many points as possible in their 3-minute window.
Scoring
Team score = total points from all three athletes.
Full reps must meet standard:
Pull-Up: chin clears the bar.
Chest-to-Bar: contact below the clavicle.
Muscle-Up: full lockout above the rings/bar (depending on apparatus).
Wall balls must hit the target AND reach full depth to count.
Event 3 (Final Event)
Teams of 3 • 9 Minutes Total (3 Minutes Each Athlete)
Overview
Each athlete has 3 minutes to complete ONE weighted front-rack carry option. The heavier the load, the shorter the distance. Once the carry distance is finished, the athlete uses the remaining time to accumulate as many calories as possible on the SkiErg.
Carry Options & Standards
Athletes choose one of the following:
Carry Option Load Distance
Option 1 – Heavy 2 × 32 kg (dual KB/DB) 100 meters
Option 2 – Moderate 2 × 24 kg 140 meters
Option 3 – Light/Endurance 2 × 16 kg 170 meters
Rules for the Carry
Implements must remain in front-rack position for the rep to count.
If the athlete drops the weights, they must resume from where they dropped them.
Carry is completed once the full prescribed distance has been covered.
SkiErg Accumulation
After completing their carry distance, the athlete may use the remaining time to accumulate as many calories as possible.
Every calorie = 1 point (or your chosen scoring system).
Flow of the Event
Athlete 1: 0:00–3:00
Athlete 2: 3:00–6:00
Athlete 3: 6:00–9:00
Total event time: 9 minutes.
Each athlete selects their carry option before their 3-minute window begins.
Scoring
Team score = total calories accumulated by all three athletes.
The carry itself does not award points but must be completed before touching the SkiErg.
Partial carry distances do not earn points—carry must be finished to move to the SkiErg.
