Forget the ego, pressure, and intensity of typical CrossFit comps — HappyFest is built different. It’s our annual celebration of movement, community, and good vibes — or as one 6-year-old legend called it: an exercise party.
Think colourful flags, high fives, face painting, loud music, and a crowd that cheers for everyone — from the first rep to the last. Whether you’re here to send it or just have a crack, you belong on that floor.

Workouts
4 ROUNDS FOR TIME 11 min time cap
*only one athlete working at a time
2 Rounds:
60 Double Unders (Scaled: Single Unders)
15 Hang Snatch (50/35kg, Scaled: Hang Power Clean 45/30kg)
Then, 2 Rounds:
60 Double Unders (Scaled: Single Unders)
12 Overhead Squats (50/35kg, Scaled: Front Squats 45/30kg)
Tie break: once team member completes last OHS/Front Squat
Then (share anyhow):
(MM - 30/FM - 25/FF – 20)
Bar Muscle Ups (Scaled: Pull Ups MM - 30/FM - 25/FF - 20)
Notes & Standards:
- Only one athlete working at a time.
- Double Unders: unbroken not required, just accumulate reps.
- FM teams will have 2 x barbells.
- Hang Snatch: bar must start above the knee, full lockout overhead each rep. Snatch anyhow.
- OHS: hip crease below parallel, bar locked overhead.
- Front Squat: hip crease below parallel.
- Bar Muscle Ups: feet must not go above the bar at any point. Full lockout above bar.
Score: Time to complete or tie break time.
8 min AMRAP
Buy-in:
MM - 30/ FM - 25/ FF - 20 Cal Assault Bike
30/30/30 Pull Ups (Scaled: Ring Rows)
Then, AMRAP in remaining time:
9 Thrusters
5 Lateral Burpee Over Bar
(MM - 40/MF - 35/FF - 30kg, Scaled: MM - 30/FM - 25/FF - 20kg)
1 min rest
Then:
EVENT 1B
8 min to find 3RM STOH
Notes & Standards:
- Buy-in is completed once as a team, split as desired.
- AMRAP reps are shared however you like.
- Thrusters: full depth squat + full lockout overhead. First rep can be a squat clean.
- STOH: strict press, push press, push jerk, or split jerk are allowed. Bar can stay in front rack as long as desired; it just can’t be re-racked into J-hooks. Rebound push jerk is allowed.
- There will ONLY BE ONE barbell out for this event.
- You may set up for your lift during the 1 minute rest.
- Both athletes must establish a 3RM in the 8 minute window.
-Score: Reps completed in AMRAP (Event 1A) + combined 3RM total weight (Event 1B).
EVENT 1B
8 min to find 3RM STOH
Notes & Standards:
- Buy-in is completed once as a team, split as desired.
- AMRAP reps are shared however you like.
- Thrusters: full depth squat + full lockout overhead. First rep can be a squat clean.

20 Synchro Single DB OH Lunge (22.5/15kg, Scaled: 15/10kg front rack)
25 Synchro DB Snatch (22.5/15kg, Scaled: 15/10kg)
Notes & Standards:
- Synchro reps = both athletes must hit the standard at the same time (lockout overhead for DB Snatch and OH Lunges).
- Row calories are split however you like.
- FM teams will have 2 x barbells.
- OH Lunges: one DB held overhead, alternating legs. Both partners must step in sync (front rack allowed in scaled division).
- Score: Time to complete.
4 Rounds for time:
11 min cap
30 TTB (Scaled: Knees-to-Chest)
(partner holds deadlift 90/65kg, Scaled: 75/50kg)
8 Wall Walks (Scaled: to line)
Notes & Standards:
- Only one athlete working at a time
- While one athlete performs Toes-to-Bar, the other must hold a deadlift at full lockout. If the bar is dropped, reps do not count.
- TTB: both feet must touch the bar between hands. Scaled: Knees-to-Chest.
- FM teams will have 2 x barbells.
- Wall Walks: start lying flat, walk hands to wall. Rep counts when any part of both hands touches the line - Scaled: walk up until both hands touch the first tape line.
- Score: Time to complete.
