About This Competition

Saddle up, Edmonton — the Man-Made Harvest Hustle is coming September 12–13, 2025, and it's bringing the grit, the grind, and the glory.

A two-day CrossFit showdown where hard work outshines hype, and the only way through is with calloused hands and a cowboy/cowgirl mindset.

2000m Row
4km Trail Run
200m Stair Climb Carry (70/50lbs Sandbag)

Athletes will begin seated on their rowers with their hands off the handles. On 3-2-1-Go, athletes will row 2000m, using the Rower monitor to track distance and time.  Monitors will be preset by the judge and athletes will NOT be allowed to touch the monitor for the duration of the workout.  Athletes may adjust their damper setting.

Once completely finished the entire 2km row, athletes may then remove their feet from the rower straps and make their way to the trail to begin their run following the orange flags and trail markers throughout.  There will be various clearly marked turns on the course, and there will also be volunteers periodically on the course providing guidance.  The run loop will end the bottom of the stairs they will grab a designated sandbag and then proceed to the stairs.  Athletes may hold the sandbag in any fashion, as long as it is carried (off the ground).  The sand bag CANNOT be set down on the stairs, only on the landings between stair sections. Once at the top of the stairs athletes will continue carrying the sandbag to the marked finish line on the grass, approx 50 meters from the top of the stairs.

3 Rounds, 2min AMRAP with 1min rest
5 Snatches @ 135/85
10 Burpee Get-Overs
Max Calorie Echo Bike
*Last round is 3min AMRAP

Athlete will start standing in the rig touching the wall. On 3-2-1-GO, Athletes will complete 5 Snatches from ground to overhead in one motion not stopping at the shoulders. These can be power or squat squat snatches, and must have triple extension (legs, hips and arms/shoulders fully extended) to finish the lift.  After every rep, including the last rep, athletes must returen the bar to the ground under control.  If the bar is dropped out of control, the rep will not count and the athlete will be required to redo the rep.

Once 5 snatches are completed, athletes move to the 40 inch box and do 10 burpee box get-overs. Athletes may step pr jump the burpees, however chest and thighs must CLEARLY touch the floor at the bopttom of the burpee.  Athletes will then jump or climb over the box, with the option to use their hands, however both feet must touch the top of the box on the way over.  If a no-rep is called in either the burpee or the get-over, the athlete will be required to start the entire rep over at the burpee.

Once 10 BBGO reps are complete athletes will move to the echo bike and accumulate as many calories as possible in the remainder of the 2 minute AMRAP. Rollover calories will NOT count.  At the buzzer, athletes will have exactly 1 minute of rest, starting their next round touching the wall again.

The first 2 rounds will be 2 minutes of work and 1 minute of rest and the 3rd/last round will be 3 full minutes of work. Score is total Calories.

1RM Sandbag Clean

Athletes will start this workout off the lifting platform in a line ready to lift. When they are motioned to move to the platform they will do so and will have 20 seconds to complete a sandbag clean from the ground to their shoulder. Athletes can lift it however they want but it must finish with the sandbag on one shoulder under control, with the opposite arm away from their body and higher than their shoulder, with legs and hips fully locked out.  Athletes must wait for a "good lift" from the judge and then drop the sandbag back to the floor.  Lock-out with a "good lift" call from the judge must be made BEFORE the 20 second buzzer.

There will then be a 10 second transition where the sandbag is reset by volunteers and the next athlete in line makes their attempted lift.  We will continue in the same lifting order, increasing sandbag weight each round, for a total of 12 rounds.  If a tiebreaker is required due to multiple athletes successfully lifting the final sandbag, we will continue with additional weights until the tie is broken.

For Time:
5 Rounds @ 130/90:
15 Deadlift
12 Lunges
9 S2OH

Athletes will start standing tall facing away from the Axle bar. At 3,2,1 go the athlete will turn around and begin deadlifts. 15 C2B
15 Strict HSPU
60 Drag Rope Crossover Skips

*15min Time Cap

Athletes will start the workout standing next to their rope not touching it. At 3,2,1 Go the athletes will begin their first rope climb. They must clearly touch the black beam (not the rope knot) at the top of the rope with one hand and come down with control to complete a rope climb.

After completing 3 rope climbs athletes move to the rig and complete 21 toes to bar, where feet must come behind the upright post and then touch the bar between their hands with both feet at the same time to complete a rep.

After the T2B athletes move to the wall to complete 21 HSPU. Each rep begins and ends in the lockout position with:
•Both hands touching the tape line. Any portion of the hands may be touching the line (fingers OK).
•Heels against the wall.
•Both arms fully extended and shoulders in line with the body. The arms must be fully extended and in line with
the body before descending.

At the bottom, the head must make contact with the ground (The head does NOT need to touch the tape line). Each rep is credited when the athlete returns to the lockout position with:
•Heels on the wall.
•Arms, hips, and legs fully extended.
•Shoulders in line with the body.

The feet do not need to remain in contact with the wall for the duration of the movement, but the feet must
return to the wall at the beginning and end of each rep.

After the hspu they go to their drag rope and complete 90 single unders. The rope must pass under their feet every spin. After the single unders the athlete will do 3 more rope climbs and then come back to the rig for chest to bar pull ups. These can be kipping or butterfly. Arms must start at full extension and the chest must contact the bar to complete the rep. After the 15 c2b are done the athlete will do 15 strict hspu. No kipping allowed and the same standards must be followed as the HSPU.

After strict hspu the athlete will go to the drag rope and complete 60 crossover single unders. The rep begins to count on the first crossover. If you start with single unders they won’t count until you do one crossover, then it will be crossover, regular skip, crossover, that will be 3 reps. Once done these the athlete goes back to the rope for 3 final rope climbs and then to the rig for 9 bar muscle ups. The athlete must start hanging with arms extended and then bring their body on top of the bar. No glide kips are allowed. Feet must stay below the bar. Hands cannot come off the bar for the rep to count. There must be full lockout at the top of each muscle up. After the muscle ups the athlete will go to the wall and complete 9 wall walks. There will be a tape line for their hands to start on while laying on their stomach on the floor. They will put both feet on the wall before moving their hands. Once their feet are on the wall they can move their hands into the tape line closest to the wall. After both hands touch the tape line they can bring their hands back out to the far tape line and finish the wall walk laying their stomach on the floor. After wall walks the athlete will do 30 drag rope double unders. The rope must pass under the feet twice every jump. Once complete the athlete is done!
