Workouts

Workout Flow
Each team will have 1 minute at each barbell weight.


Both athletes lift during that minute, each declaring their intended lift before attempting.


Each athlete has 1 attempt only at their declared lift per barbell.


Failed lift = 0 points for that barbell (athlete may still move on to the next barbell).


Bars will be preloaded in a lane — athletes progress in order from lightest to heaviest.


Both athletes may attempt different lifts at the same weight.



Point System
At each barbell, athletes choose one of the following:

Deadlift = 1 point


Squat Clean or Power Clean = 3 points


Squat Snatch or Power Snatch = 5 points

Scaled Division (Women / Men):

55 / 75 lb


65 / 95 lb


80 / 115 lb

Scoring & Tiebreak
Primary Score: Total points from successful lifts.


Tiebreak: Total number of successful lifts (regardless of points).


In the event of an exact tie, the win goes to the team that reached their last successful lift in the least amount of time.

Ascent into Mayhem – Kids Standards
Format: Teams of 2 (any gender combination)
Time Cap: To be determined based on test runs (recommend ~8–10 minutes)
Score: Time to complete the full ladder.


Workout – For Time
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10

Shuttle Runs (25 ft down & back = 1 rep)


Abmat Sit-Ups


Flow:

Athlete 1 completes 1 shuttle run + 1 sit-up, tags Athlete 2.


Athlete 2 completes 2 shuttle runs + 2 sit-ups, tags Athlete 1.


Continue alternating full rounds, increasing by 1 rep each round until the team finishes the 10-rep round.

 

Format: Teams of 2 (MM, FF,)
Time Cap: 8 Minutes
Score: Time to complete all reps (fastest time wins). If cap is reached, score will be total reps completed at the time cap.

15 Synchro Overhead Squats (95/65 lb)


30 Burpees (split between partners)


10 Synchro Overhead Squats (115/75 lb)


20 Burpees (split between partners)


5 Synchro Overhead Squats (135/95 lb)

Controlled Chaos – Scaled Standards
Format: Teams of 2 (MM, FF)
Time Cap: 8 Minutes
Score: Time to complete all reps (fastest time wins). If cap is reached, score will be total reps completed at the time cap.

Workout Format
Part 1:
10-minute AMRAP – partners alternate full rounds

4 Burpees

4 Box Jump/Step Overs (20")


4 Single Arm Dumbbell Cleans (15 lb)

Part 2 (Immediately after Part 1):
5 minutes to establish a 1-rep max clean per athlete

Score = Combined heaviest successful lift (lbs) from both partners
