BUTTERFLY EFFECT PERTH 2025
About This Competition
A fitness event series that unites us as one community. Focusing on what are bodies are capable of, rather than what we look like.
Experience the world’s largest celebration of female movement with The Butterfly Effect, where we believe in the power of community and strength in unity. Together, we showcase just how powerful we are as women.
The Format:
The Butterfly Effect is an all-female functional fitness competition for teams of 3, offering divisions for Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced athletes.
Teams will tackle 4 workouts over the course of the day, with workouts released months in advance to give you plenty of time to prepare. Our divisions are designed for all fitness levels, from first-timers to seasoned athletes, and you don’t need to be a ‘CrossFitter’ to join! The Beginner division focuses on accessible movements and will not include complex techniques like Snatching or advanced Gymnastics.
Divisions:
RX, Intermediate and Beginner: When selecting your division, please refer to the movement guidelines to make the best choice for your team. You can find detailed movement standards under the “Athlete Info” tab in our menu. Don’t worry if you choose the wrong division—we allow changes up to 2 weeks before the event.
We welcome athletes from all gyms and fitness levels to join the fun!
First-time Competitors:
If this is your first time competing, you’re in great company! Many of our participants are stepping into their first competition. Remember, we are more than just a competition—we’re here to celebrate with you every step of the way.
Workouts:
Workouts will be released no later than March.
Timing:
Events typically start between 7am and 8am, running until around 3:30pm. Exact times vary depending on location and will be announced a few weeks before each event. You can find detailed schedules under the “Athlete Info” tab.
