13th Annual Beginner/Intermediate/Masters CrossFit Competition & Texas Box Cup
About This Competition
Welcome to the Unsanctioned Games... CrossFit Magnolia's 13th Annual Beginner, Intermediate & Masters CrossFit Competition & Box Cup!
For those of you that love the competition, but are new to the game, our beginner's division is just for you. For those of you who are more experienced, but not yet Rx athletes, our intermediate division will be a great fit! A division for everyone!
The master's division is for athletes ages 40+
Box Cup is the ultimate team showdown where individual athletes go head-to-head in competition, earning points not just for yourself—but for your box. Every lift, every rep, and every finish line crossed adds to your gym’s total. At the end, we crown one champion: the Box Cup winner. One goal. One trophy. May the best box win! (P.S. As the host, CFM is not eligible to compete for the title.)
Register by September 1st to guarantee your shirt size.
This competition is loads of fun... with sponsors, vendors, food and drinks to fuel the fun for the day! It's CrossFit community at its finest!
There will be 3 WODs, plus a Floater (a 4th workout that you can do at any time during the competition).
There will be NO advanced movements in the beginner division (such as pull-ups, double unders, handstand push-ups, handstand walks, ring dips, snatches, muscle-ups, etc). But you can expect any of those movements in the Intermediate division.
Beginners can expect movements like clean & jerks, running, kettlebell swings, front squats, box jumps (or step-ups), rowing, sit-ups, lunges, etc.
If you're a first time competitor at CrossFit Magnolia, we know you'll have a great experience. Past competitors have loved the WODs, comraderie and competition flow!
There will be a mandatory meeting at 7:30am so you should arrive between 6:30 and 7:00 to allow time to set your area up before the meeting. The first heat will start at exactly 8am and we should be finished by noon with prizes by 12:30 so you can enjoy the rest of the day!
Feel free to bring tents, chairs, coolers, and as many friends and family as you wish!
If you have placed in one of our previous competitions, please be considerate to the other competitors and place yourself in the correct division (e.g., if you placed in the Beginners Division you should probably now be competing in the Intermediate Division).
Competition fee includes competition t-shirt, vendor swag bag and memories! Plus we’ll have awesome prizes for our winners and some random prizes just for fun. Space is limited so sign up early.
Interested vendors and sponsors can message us directly.
We look forward to welcoming you at the competition this year!

4 rounds, 2 minutes on / 1 minute off — just enough rest to think, “Hey, that wasn’t so bad”… until the next round starts.
You’ll cycle through devil presses, lunges that test your lower body balance and dignity, and bench presses that test your upper body. The kicker? You pick up right where you left off, so there’s no escaping the grind.
It’s simple. It’s spicy. And after four rounds, you’ll swear those dumbbells got heavier all by themselves.

This workout is a rollercoaster: the reps go down, the weights go up, and your grip slowly waves goodbye.
It starts easy enough — toes-to-bar (or knee raises if you’re keeping it classy), a quick 200m trail run to get the heart rate up, some pull-ups (or their friendlier cousin, jumping pull-ups)… and then the barbell steps in. Each round it’s heavier, meaner, and just waiting to see if you can hang on.

This one’s short and fast, and... (you fill in the blank here). A sled, a sandbag, and just enough burpees — all packed into a quick sprint-style workout that will leave your lungs on fire and your legs screaming.

Born on the CrossFit Games floor in 2018, Acid Bath is as simple as it is sinister: row, bike, ski — three sprints back-to-back, no place to hide. It’s the kind of workout that leaves you flat on your back, questioning your choices… and then strangely excited to try it again.
This is more than a test of lungs and legs — it’s a benchmark. A workout you can come back to, measure progress against, and laugh about with friends who are just as wrecked as you. The beauty of Acid Bath is that no matter your division, the experience is the same: raw effort, shared suffering, and the sweet satisfaction of surviving.
You don’t just do Acid Bath once. You collect it. You chase a better time, you relive the chaos, and you brag about it — because once you’ve taken the plunge, you’re part of the club.
