About This Competition

Welcome to Cedar City Throwdown!

We are thrilled to be hosting the 3rd annual Cedar City Throwdown, presented by Edge Fitness Performance and Victory Apparel.

This is a 1 day competition on November 8th with 2 person teams.

Divisions include Scaled, Intermediate and RX; M/M, F/F/, M/F combinations.

Cash prizes for RX 1st place!

Standards:

Scaled: Scaled athletes will not be expected to perform advanced gymnastics, or lift heavy weight, but should be familiar with basic barbell movements and bodyweight exercises. Standards include but are not limited to:

Snatch 95/65

Clean 115/75

Thruster 65/45

Deadlift 155/115

Ring Rows

Hanging leg raises

Box jumps 20 inches

Single Unders

Wall Walks

Intermediate: Intermediate athletes will be expected to perform most movements, but not the most advanced gymnastics or heavier weights that RX athletes are expected. Movements are included but not limited to:

Snatch 135/85

Clean 155/105

Thruster 75/55

Deadlift 185/135

Toes to bar

Pull-ups

Rope climbs

Double Unders

Box Jump 24/20

Wall Walks

RX: RX athletes should be able to perform the majority of Crossfit workouts as prescribed. Standards include but are not limited to:

Snatch 155/105

Clean 185/125

Thruster 95/65

Deadlift 225/155

Toes to bar

Chest to bar pull ups

Bar muscle ups

Rope climbs

Double Unders

Box Jump 30/24

Handstand Walks

Workouts

Partners will combine for an 800m run on the assault runner, switching at 400m.

While one partner is running, the other is completing Max sandbag cleans.

Each sandbag clean subtracts 2 seconds from the total time.

Weights;

Scaled: 80/50

Intermediate: 130/80

RX: 175/130

On a 15 minute running clock

Part A:

8 Minute AMRAP, ascending by 3 reps each round

3 Burpee Box Jump Overs

3 Toes to Bar

At the 8 Minute mark, Part B:

7 minutes to find a 3RM front squat, from the floor.

* Scaled division will do hanging knee raises instead of toes to bar

Box Heights:

RX: 30/24

Intermediate: 24/20

Scaled: 20

Mixed RX: 24

Mixed INT/Scaled: 20
