2026 West Performance Trials
About This Competition
The 2026 West Performance Trials have ARRIVED!
We’re pressing pause on the Hunger Games in 2026 (your nervous systems can thank us later) and bringing you a simpler, high-energy, community-focused version of the Hunger Games/CF Open.
- Still 3 weeks.
- Still the official workouts.
- Still following exact standards.
Just without the ultra-competitive Hunger Games madness (;
Instead, we’re giving you three awesome weeks to throw down with your people at Friday Night Lights. Plus the option to complete the workout during regular Friday classes if that fits your schedule better.
And this year we've added something NEW!
*NEW* Partner Division!
You can now compete:
- Individually (RX, Scaled, or Foundations)
- OR grab a friend and sign up for the Partner Division!
This is perfect if:
- You want to share the experience
- You love a little accountability
- You’re newer and want someone beside you
- Or you just think fitness is more fun with friends
Partner workouts will still follow the CF Open standards, just splitting the reps and ccombined scoring.
Partners must be competing in same division (RX, scaled, foundations)

-- DIVISIONS --
When doing workouts for the WPT we will follow the exact standards from the CF Open.
You may compete as:
RX - Do most workouts exactly as written in class. This is the most challenging option for experienced athletes. Expect heavier loads and high skill gymnastics.
Scaled - Not quite ready to tackle the workouts as written? No problem. The scaled division offers classic scaling options for many of CF's common gymnastics movements and includes lighter loading. Choose this if you scale most class workouts or you are new to the Open.
Foundations – Brand new to the WPT? No problem! The foundations division will offer “beginner” scaling and modifications that can match ANY skill level. Choose this if you almost ALWAYS modify/scale class workouts or you have never competed/done the WPT.
*NEW* Partner Division – Compete with a teammate in RX, Scaled, or Foundations divisions and split the work! Partners must be competing in same division (RX, scaled, foundations) ex. you CANNOT have a scaled athlete + RX athlete
If you cannot complete the workout as written we will modify it for you so you can STILL get a good workout in.

Here are some facts/frequently asked questions about the Open/WPT:
Do I have to pick my division and stick with it the entire time?
Choose the division that best matches how you plan to perform the workouts. If you need to modify something during the workout for safety, that’s totally fine — but your submitted score must reflect what was completed as written for your division.
Do I have to attend Friday Night Lights?
Nope! You can complete the workout during Friday classes or on your own before Monday’s deadline. But we strongly encourage you to give FNL a shot (:
What happens at Friday Night Lights?
Magic! We will run the workouts in heats and you will have a judge to count all our reps. It’s your favorite class night turned up a notch!
Should I participate in the 2026 WPT?
Yes.
Whether you’re a veteran or brand new, this is the most fun 3 weeks of the year. It pushes you, connects you, and reminds us why this community is so special!
