About This Competition

Every Community needs a central point to meet. This is our NEXUS.

The NEXUS Games brought to you by The Irish Fitness Championships, Irelands Largest and Longest running Functional Fitness Events. After a smashing summer Championships in 2025, Its time to grab your teammates and throwdown in a team of 4. 

This winter format previously known as The Winter Throwdown will see athletes compete across 1 Day of competition in our new venue Troy Studios. Our Goal is to give every athlete the experience of competing on a large stage.

RX Masters Teams // Everyday Athlete Teams

Teams of 4 MM/FF

Masters athlete teams must all be 35+ on saturday 25OCT25

Athletes will see 3 workouts which will be released in October weekly in the run up to the event, although we will be keeping a few tricks up our sleeves. There will be no hidden final event.

Refunds: We are operating a No refund system. Any tickets re-sold must be communicated to the NEXUS team prior to the event and no later than 22JUN25.

Standards: We have majorly updated standards this year to assist athletes. See the specific event standards under each category. For the Specified weights, athletes are not expected to achieve the weight for multiple reps.

Hybrid Fitness Xperience: Following the NEXUS Games on Sunday 26OCT25, the Hybrid Fitness Xperience are running a massice HYROX simulation, perfect preparation for dublin in november, so why not grab a partner and jump in.

3 Rounds for Each Pair

3 rounds for each pair of Run and Wallball, Lunge & Snatch.

MM Pair 1

400m Run

While

FF Pair 2 

30 Partner Wall Balls 9/6kg

20 Synchro DB Snatch

10 M Synchro Lunge

Flow

Pair 1 will complete 400m run while pair 2, complete wall balls, snatch and lunge. They will then swap with pair 2 completing wallballs, snatch and lunge while pair 1 complete a 400m run. This is 1 Round. Athlets while complete 3 rounds in total each.

 

Notes:

For RX the lunge will be 1 x DB per athlete in the front rack. For Everyday athlete it will be a walking lunge.

Females will all use a 6kg wallball to a 9ft target

Males will all use a 9kg wallball to a 10ft target.

Cleans may be power or squat. 
Shoulder to Overhead are the athletes choice.
Eg. may be strict press, push press, push jerk or split jerk.
