🏋️‍♀️ 42 Mana Functional Fitness – 1st Birthday Comp 🎉

Get ready for an epic day of fitness, teamwork, and community spirit as we celebrate 42 Mana’s 1st Birthday with our first-ever competition! Same-sex pairs will throw down across exciting workouts designed to test strength, skill, and grit—while keeping it fun and inclusive for all levels.

Refund Policy

All registrations are final.
No refunds will be issued for withdrawals.
Substitutes

Athlete substitutions are allowed up until competition day.
Please email us in advance with your substitute’s details so we can update the roster.
Workout Release Dates

Workouts will be released on our social media and Competition Corner leading up to the event.
Expect teaser releases with final workouts and movement standards announced 2 weeks prior to comp day at the latest.
Qualifying Rules

No online qualifier – this is a live, one-day event.
Athletes must compete in all workouts on the day to be eligible for podium placements.
Movement standards will be strictly enforced to ensure fairness across divisions.
Spots are limited, so grab your partner and get registered—let’s throw down and celebrate the Mana way!

🔥 WOD 4: AVENGING PAIRS 🔥

The final showdown — where teamwork is tested, lungs are burning, and every rep counts. 💥

With a 12-minute cap, teams will fight through a descending gauntlet of movements that demand power, coordination, and connection.

At 3, 2, 1… GO! your mission begins:
🏐 50 Wall Balls (shared) — split the work and keep that target in sight.
💪 40 Toes-to-Bar (shared) — grip, swing, and breathe through the burn.
🔥 30 Synchro Lunges — move as one, legs on fire, unbreakable focus.
💀 20 Synchro Devil Press — the ultimate test of grit and full-body control.
💥 10 Synchro Push-Ups — finish strong, side by side.

This WOD is all about communication, pace, and pure partnership power.
Only the tightest duos will conquer this one. 👊

🔥 WOD 3: RISE OF THE HEROES 🔥

Time to dig deep and rise to the occasion. 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️

10-Minute AMRAP – as many rounds as possible of pure teamwork, grit, and strategy.

At 3, 2, 1… GO!

Partner 1 jumps on the rower for 12 calories 🚣‍♂️
Partner 2 holds a single dumbbell overhead — a true test of strength and stability 💪
But here’s the catch… if that dumbbell drops, the rower must stop. 👀 Communication and composure are everything.

Once the row is complete, the team moves to:
🔥 12 Single Dumbbell Hang Clean & Jerks
🔥 10 Burpees Over the Dumbbell

Partners can swap in and out on the clean & jerks and burpees as needed — it’s all about finding your rhythm and keeping the pace.

This workout rewards those who can balance power with poise and teamwork with tenacity.

When that 3, 2, 1… GO! hits, athletes will launch straight into the fire. 🔥

One teammate grabs the bar and kicks things off with thrusters, trading out as needed until 15 reps are complete — it’s all about smart breaks, smooth transitions, and keeping that barbell moving. 💪

Then it’s time to hit the pavement side by side for a 250m run together — no one moves on until both teammates cross the line. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

You’ll repeat this for 5 rounds, racing the clock with a 15-minute cap. The burn will build, lungs will light up, and teamwork will be everything.

Titan Smash 
Workout:

Buy-In: 50 Syncro Single DB Front Squats (4:00 cap)
Then: 1 Min Max Effort Deadlifts (swap as you please)
 

Workout Flow
At "3, 2, 1, Go!" athletes begin with 50 syncro dumbbell front squats.
Time cap = 4:00 minutes.
If 50 reps are not completed, record squats and then move into Deadlift straight away. 
Once 50 reps are completed, athletes will rest the remainder of the 4 minutes.
3. At minute 4 athletes will begin their 1 min max rep deadlift. Athletes may swap in and out as they please.
