About This Competition
We're back with Kootenay Klash 2025!
There will be Two Divisions
1. Scaled: For those who are new to competition or are not yet able to complete the requirements for RX.
2. RX: For the athletes that have competed in the past and are comfortable completing the movements associated with the RX division.
These participants should be competent in most crossfit related movements such as gymnastics, olympic weightlifting and power lifting. The loads and intensity will be greater for this category than in scaled.
Prizes: Prizes will be given to the top 3 teams of the RX division.
Workouts will be released weekly from August 1st till 22nd.
Our Mission Is Community:
The focus of this competition is to build a connection between local gyms here in the Beautiful British Columbia and abroad, while enjoying a fun filled day of competitive fitness for competitors and spectators alike.
Athlete check in begins at 7:30 am while our first event will start at 8:30 am. We will aim to finish 3:30pm but is subject to change.
New Designated Warmup Area:
This time around we will have a designated warmup area located in our newly renovated second unit, next door to the competition floor. This will allow for more space for both competitors and spectators.
Pricing and Refund Policy
Registration is $200 + platform fees and GST per team.
There will be no refunds given.
Entry for spectators will be FREE.

Workouts
In 5 minutes each, complete the following (10 mins total)
- 30/22 cal bike (Sc: 24/18)
- 4 Rep max front squat from the floor (first rep can be a squat clean)
* The Score is combined load of both partners
* Partners can help eachother with weight
* Womens Weights are multiplied by 1.5x
* Athletes may load bars before starting, so as to not waste the limited time they have to execute the lift.
4 Rounds for time - 11 min cap
24 DB Snatches @60/40 (SC: 40/25)
18 Lateral Burpee Over the DB
6 Muscle Ups (SC: Pull-up x12)
* Scaled may use a band for Pull-up but will be automatically ranked below those who didn't. No bands or modifications for RX.
* Remaining reps will be scored as seconds if workout is not completed within the time cap
* Can be split whatever way the team desires, as long a minimum of one rep is completed by each partner for each movement

250m Sandbag Run @100/70lbs (Sc: 70lbs bag /40lbs slam ball)
10 Clusters @135/95 (Sc: 95/65)
*must complete an entire round before switching with your partner

- teams with two ladies mulitipled by 1.5
- teams with mixed pairs multiplied by 1.25
* Score is total cals completed on the rower (multiplier included)
